The PET Pharmacokinetics Course has been held for most years, since the early 1990s. Originally, the meeting was held in Europe, first in Germany, then for several years at the Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland, hosted by Nico Leenders. Starting in conjunction with Brain99 in Copenhagen, the course has moved to different sites (hosted in the city of one of the tutors), always being held in close proximity either to the Brain/Brain PET meetings, the Neuro Receptor Mapping (or NRM) meetings, or occasionally an IEEE or other related meeting.
Hamamatsu can be conveniently reached by Shinkansen bullet train (Approx. an hour and a half from JR Tokyo station to JR Hamamatsu station).
